Poem 1
Bharat maa ke amaar saputon,
path par aage badhaate jaana.
paarwat nadiyaan aur samaandar,
hans kar paaaya saabhi kar jaana.
tumame Himgiri ki unchaayi,
saagar jaisi geharaaayi hai.
leharon ki masti haai tum mein,
suraj jaisi tarunaaayi hai.
Bhagat Singh, Ranaa Pratap ka,
Behata rakt tumhaaare tan mein,
Gautam, Gaandhi, Mahaveer sa,
rehata satya tumhaaare man mein.
sankat aaya jab dharti par,
tumane bhishan sangraaam kiya.
maar bhagaaya dushman ko fir,
jag mein apana naam kiya.
aane waale naye vishav mein,
tum bhi kuchh kar ke dikhlaana.
Bharat ke unnat lalaat ko,
jag mein unchaa aur uthaaana.

Poem 2

Swatantrata Diwas Amar Rahe
Wahi Purab hai, Wahi Paschim hai,
Washi Uttar hai Wahi Dakshin,
Tukde-Tukde Meri Dharti ke,
Nahi Bhulta mai woh kshan.
Kaise Beete pata nahi hai,
70 Warsh Azadi ke.
Azad Hindustan kaisa hoga,
Sapne har ek manav ke.
Jan-Jan mein goonjta naam hai,
Bharat ke veer shahidon ka.
Aaj bhi aisi veer shahidi,
Bhula na sakta Hindustan.
Karwan ki pakdi dagar aisi,
Grihatyag balidaan kiya.
Maatribhumi ko sheesh chadhane,
Veeron ne kaisa pran liya.
Ahinsa ke bal Gaandhi koode,
Raajneeti Nehru ji ki.
Subhash Chander, Shekhar jaison ne,
Laaj bachai bharat ki.
Raajguru, Batukeshwar Dutt bhi,
Shaheed ho gaye is ran mein.
Amar shaheedi tabhi bachi hai,
Swatantra bharat ke kan-kan mein.
Chale gaye Angrej chhod desh,
Apni dharti tod gaye.
Bharat aur Pakistan banaakar,
Fir se jhagda jod gaye.

Poem 3

“Angrejo Bharat Chhodo”,
“Jai Hind” Hamara Naara tha.
Bharat ki dharati goonj uthi,
Jan-Jan ne yahi pukara tha.
Aao aaj fir se hum,
Unhi palon ko yaad karen.
Yah Shubh din Amar rahe,
Baar-baar fariyaad karen.
“Jai Hind” “Jai Bharat” Bolo,
Deshbhakti mein amrit gholo.
Swatrata diwas amar rahe,
Hindustani dil se bolo.

Short Poems on Independence day in English

Poem 1

Our’s is a land of sages,
Known for bravery for ages.
None can with it compete,
Its culture none can beat.
Whatever caste or religion,
All live here in unison.
With rivers, sweet fountains,
it’s a land of high mountains.
Its green forests are pretty,
And are source of prosperity.
Let’s for it work hard,
For its safety, be on guard.

Poem 2

“Not where the musk of happiness blows,
Not where darkness and fears never tread;
Not in the homes of perpetual smiles,
Nor in the heaven of a land of prosperity
Would I be born
If I must put on mortal garb once more…”

Poem 3

“Where the mind is without fear
and the head is held high;
Where knowledge is free;
Where the world has not been
broken up into fragments by
narrow domestic walls;
Where words come out from
the depth of truth;
Where tireless striving stretches
its arms towards perfection;
Where the clear stream of reason
has not lost its way into the dreary
desert sand of dead habit;
Where the mind is lead forward by thee
into ever-widening thought and action-
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father,
let my country awake.”
